Prepare a deceased-person enquiry

Provide the full name, known life dates and Lintorfer Mark as the burial place. If available, have the tree or habitat number and individual plot number from the documents ready. A general woodland path does not identify a particular burial place.

Request help finding a grave

The woodland administration maintains a burial-place register. Authorised people can request the specific location details. Contact: 0203 741292 · info@ruhewald-lintorfermark.de.

Recognise the burial place in the woodland

Numbers and coloured plaques identify trees and habitats. A nameplate may be attached to a tree or to a post within a habitat area. Compare the identifier with your documents; nearby trees and other nameplates do not establish the correct location.

The arrival point is the car park at An den Hanten / Krummenweger Straße. The Düsseldorf office address is not the woodland entrance.

Use the map and grave finder

The map shows general woodland paths, the car park and transport stops. It is not a complete location plan of all natural burial plots. Ask the administration for the identifier and approach to the intended tree.

Common question: may I plant the burial place?

No. The woodland’s natural character is retained. Grave ornaments and lights are excluded; grave care explains the rules.
